ESTIMATE YOUR COVERAGE
A porous surface or a different starting colour may need more paint, so the same container may cover less area. Choose the condition closest to your project to see the manufacturer's indicative range.
Glasst TDS V4 lists 128–170 ft² per US gallon over a similar colour, 106–149 over a different colour and 50–80 on a porous surface. Per-shade rule: quantity × 0.25 US gal (quart) or 1 US gal (gallon) × the surface range. It recommends 2–3 coats, at least two for proper removal, but does not specify the coat basis of these ranges. This is not a guaranteed yield for exactly two coats. Actual use varies with surface, thickness and method. Official manufacturer TDS, pp. 2–3
