Two ways to keep your tub

A lower opening.
Your bathtub stays in place.

The kit lowers the sidewall of your existing bathtub by creating an opening. It does not replace the tub.

How it works

You choose the type of opening you want. The installer handles the measurements and technical decision.

  1. 01

    Tell us about your project.

Would you like easier access for showering, or to keep the option of taking a bath? We help you understand both options.

  2. 02

    We look at your bathtub.

Your photos help us understand your bathroom’s layout and spot visible incompatibilities.

  3. 03

    The installer checks on site.

We connect you with a trusted installer in your area. They take measurements and confirm the model for your bathtub and intended use.

  4. 04

    Your bathtub is adapted.

Frequently asked questions

What types of bathtubs can be adapted?

Many acrylic, fibreglass, steel and cast iron bathtubs can be adapted. The material alone is not enough: the installer also checks the shape, dimensions, condition, sidewall structure and available space. They confirm where the opening and supports will go. The kit does not turn the bathtub into a curbless shower. Clawfoot bathtubs are not suitable; added liners and jetted bathtubs are generally not recommended.

What about sliding doors or grab bars?

Sliding doors must be removed. Supports are assessed separately from the kit. Some clamp-on grab bars exclude acrylic and fibreglass: that restriction applies to the bar, not to the bathtub conversion kits.

Do I keep my bathtub?

Yes. The kit creates an opening in the existing bathtub. With the Convertible model, a removable insert closes the opening when you want to take a bath.

How long does installation take?

Installation generally takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the bathtub. You must then follow the curing time in the model’s guide before using the tub.

How much does it cost?

The kit costs $475 to $635 CAD before taxes, depending on the model. The installer charges separately for installation. The exact model is determined from their measurements.

When do I pay?

ABC emails you the written terms and a Stripe payment link before the installer takes measurements. No payment is made on this website. The amount and payment terms are set out in writing before you pay.

What if my bathtub isn’t suitable?

The photo review helps rule out visibly incompatible situations. It does not confirm compatibility or the model. If the installer finds on site that the kit is unsuitable, the sealed kit is returned and you receive a full refund. The details will be set out in your written terms.

What if there’s no installer in my area?

We add you to a waiting list and email you when an installer serves your area. The terms will be explained before any payment.

Who is ABC Rénovations?

An independent reseller in Québec. We review your photos to rule out visibly incompatible situations and connect you with an installer. They take measurements, confirm feasibility and carry out the installation.
